Add skills, connectors, and files from the composer
The + button at the left edge of the message composer opens a two-pane panel that lets you add skills, toggle MCP connectors, and upload files, all without leaving the current conversation.
Open the menu
Section titled “Open the menu”Click the + button in the composer. The panel opens inline below (or above, if the composer is near the bottom of the viewport).
The left column has three sections:

| Skills | Add or toggle skills active on this chat. |
| Connectors | Enable or disable installed MCP servers. |
Hovering over Skills or Connectors opens the corresponding flyout on the right.
Add a skill to the chat
Section titled “Add a skill to the chat”- Click or hover Skills in the left column.
- The Skills flyout opens on the right. The “On this chat” section shows skills already active in the conversation. Built-in auto-skills show a builtin tag; skills you have added manually show an added tag. Each has a toggle you can flip off without removing the skill from the list.
- To add a skill from your library, type in the search box. Results appear as you type.
- If your message draft is already filled in, suggested skills appear below the “On this chat” list automatically. These are ranked against your draft.
- Click Add on any result to attach it to the conversation.
- To manage all skills in one place, click Manage all skills at the bottom of the flyout. This navigates to Settings > Skills.
Toggle an MCP connector
Section titled “Toggle an MCP connector”- Click or hover Connectors in the left column.
- The Connectors flyout shows every installed MCP server.
- Use the toggle next to each server to enable or disable it.
- To add a new connector from the MCP Library, click Add a connector at the bottom of the flyout. This opens the library browser.
- To manage all connectors, click Manage connectors. This also opens the library browser.

Upload a file
Section titled “Upload a file”- Click the + button to open the menu.
- In the left column, click the upload option (the Upload row with the arrow-up icon). On the desktop app this opens a system file picker. On WebUI there may be additional options.
- Select a file. The file attaches to the current message draft.
- Send the message normally.
The upload item closes the menu immediately after you pick a file.
